Pastor Steve and Sheila Knott

Steve was born and raised in Texas, while his wife, Sheila, was born in Tennessee—BUT moved to Texas as fast as she could at the age of 5…and Steve is so glad she did. They have been married for 34 years and have been blessed with (3) children and (2) grandsons. Pastor Steve and Sheila have been serving the Lord for 32 years, and the last 15 years in the pastoral ministry, and they both are committed to the ministry in which the Lord has called them. Pastor Steve has received his B.A / M.A Pastoral Ministry/ Masters of Theological Studies, and Sheila has received her Associates Degree in Biblical Studies.

Sheila is not only his lovely wife, but a vital part to Steve’s ministry; she is his prayer partner, his encourager, his supporter, his helpmate, his sounding board—most of all, his best friend. And over the years, Pastor Steve and Sheila have committed themselves to serving in the communities in which they have lived. They been active and supportive in the ‘Sanctity of Life’ by serving South Texas Pregnancy Care Center, Seguin, TX where Sheila served on the Board of Directors—Pastor Steve served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, Guadalupe County, Seguin, TX where he engaged in budget planning; family selection; fundraising; and jobsite construction. He also interacted with local Ministerial Alliances (community outreach); a cooperative effort between local churches (pastors) to meet the needs of the local community.

Pastor Steve also has given his time to serving local schools and community food banks:  Giddings State School, Giddings, TX where he mentored troubled boys—Seguin Christian Academy, Seguin, TX, where he served with area pastors sharing devotionals with students during chapel time—McQueeney Elementary, McQueeney, TX, where he served on a site council”— and “Feed the Need” Ministries, Giddings, TX.

In their time away from church ministry and community involvement, Pastor Steve and Sheila enjoy family, friends, walks, fishing, sports, outdoors, travel, and gardening—they are looking forward to serving and “doing life” with the Wallingford, CT community.
