"I love you, I am praying for you, and I’m excited for all that lies ahead. The best is yet to come in Jesus’ name!"
November 2025 letter
Greetings, FBC Wallingford Family:
Grace and peace to you in the powerful name of Jesus! “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).
I carry you in my heart with deep gratitude. “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you… because of your partnership in the gospel” (Philippians 1:3–5). What a joy to walk together in the purposes of God!
Thank You!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your gesture of love and appreciation during Pastor Appreciation Day last month. Your kind words, cards, gifts, prayers, and personal encouragements mean the world to me. I felt your love—and I thank the Lord for a church family that honors and builds up one another. “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
Special Gathering — Sunday, November 9th.
I am so looking forward to meeting with all of you who have come back home or who have joined our church in the past year. We have scheduled a special meeting on Sunday, November 9th, immediately after the service in the Community Room.
- Purpose: to connect, share our stories, and discover our God-given strengths.
- Goal: to discern together where each of us can best serve the Lord at FBC.
- Heart: “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another” (1 Peter 4:10); “from whom the whole body… makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love” (Ephesians 4:16).
It will be a sweet time of fellowship, clarity, and help clarify your next steps.
Welcome to FBC! Right Hand of Fellowship
If you have not received officially your “Right Hand of Fellowship” yet, we will be offering it every second Sunday of the month. We would be honored to welcome you formally into our church family. “Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together” (Hebrews 10:24–25).
Our Spiritual Atmosphere
The spiritual atmosphere here at FBC is warm and vibrant—a loving family seeking and growing in Jesus together. Week after week I see faith, kindness, and hunger for God’s presence. “Taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8). He is at work among us.
A Pastor’s Joy and Privilege
What a privilege it is to be your Pastor. I am grateful to the Lord for trusting me with this sacred task. I know He is in everything we do here. “Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus” (Colossians 3:17). You are a gift to me, and it is my joy to serve you with all my heart.
Let Us Strive for Faithfulness
Church family let us keep pressing forward—together. “Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord… your labor is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
“C’mon—magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together” (Psalm 34:3)! As we pray, serve, and love one another, we will continue to make our beloved church one of the best places to worship the Lord in our area—for His glory and the good of many.
Final Encouragement and Closing
- Do not grow weary . . .“in due season we will reap, if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).
- Keep your eyes on Jesus . . . “He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion” (Philippians 1:6).
- Walk in unity and love . . . “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14).
I love you, I am praying for you, and I’m excited for all that lies ahead. The best is yet to come in Jesus’ name!
In Him and for Him,

October 2025
"I write to you with a heart full of gratitude and excitement as we embrace the beautiful month of October . . ."
Warm Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Beloved Brothers and Sisters:
I write to you with a heart full of gratitude and excitement as we embrace the beautiful month of October. I pray this letter finds you well and thriving in the grace and love of our Lord.
As we move forward together, I am thrilled to announce a new addition to our worship schedule. Beginning this Sunday, we will resume our weekly children’s story during worship services. This special segment is dedicated to planting seeds of faith in our little ones’ hearts. Once the children’s sermon concludes, the young ones will head downstairs for additional programs, as space and availability allow. It is our joy to build them up in the Word of God and prepare them for the faithful journey ahead.
What a remarkable display of God’s goodness in fellowship we witnessed on the last weekend of September!
On this Sunday Morning, we had the great privilege of hosting Bishop Linwood Nesbitt and his team. Their powerful presence and partnership with us exemplify the unity we share as laborers in God’s vineyard. Working together, we are reminded that the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). Thank you to everyone who contributed to making their visit so memorable! Your hospitality and unwavering support glorified the Lord and reminded us of the strength in our bonds of Christian fellowship.
On Sunday Evening, we were blessed as the Maranatha Band concluded their country-wide tour with their final concert in our sanctuary. What an evening of praise, worship, and community! The event brought together old and new friends, both from the Dominican Republic and many surrounding churches who have joined us in previous Dominican Republic mission trips. It was a celebration of music, connection, and our shared commitment to help those in need near and far.
To everyone who attended and supported both their efforts and our mission outreach, I thank you from the depths of my heart. We continue to see God working through our partnership with beautiful yet needy communities, and I am confident that this ministry will blossom further to His glory.
As we step into this season of harvest and thanksgiving, let us remain united in purpose and steadfast in prayer. It is truly an honor to labor alongside you in God’s vineyard. Together, we will continue to bring hope, light, and love into the world through our service in the Kingdom.

"Church family, I encourage you to remember amidst everything happening around us, we are on the winning side . . ."
Dear Beloved FBC Family,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
I pray that once again this letter finds you and your families in peace, joy, and abundant hope as we step into the month of September, which is often thought of as a time of new beginnings. The crispness in the air, the busyness of preparations for the school year, and the fresh anticipation of what God has in store remind us that the Spirit of renewal is all around us. As Isaiah 43:19 declares, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Let us welcome this new season with hearts wide open, expectant for the mighty works our Lord will accomplish among us and through us.
For many, September marks "back-to-school" season—a time of learning, growth, and opportunities. Not just for students and educators, but for every follower of Christ, it is also a reminder to renew our commitment to seek wisdom and understanding in God’s Word. Proverbs 9:10 reminds us, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." Wherever we are in life, let us continue sitting at the feet of Jesus, growing in grace and truth.
There is so much happening at our church . . . please visit our website to get involved. There is something for everyone!
I am overjoyed to announce that once again, we will be blessed by the presence and ministry of Bishop Nesbitt and his team at the end of this month. What a gift to have them back with us! Their anointed teaching and profound love for the body of Christ will undoubtedly leave us encouraged, refreshed, and ready to take on the works to which God has called us. We are truly bound together with an unbreakable bond through the love of Christ. As Romans 8:38–39 reminds us, "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth . . . will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Let us stand strong in this enduring love, supporting and lifting each other up as one family in faith.
As a friendly reminder, Sunday, the 14th, will be a very special day here at FBC! We will be hosting a "Fellowship Explosion"—a day filled with games, a picnic, and an incredible time of worship, including a powerful and uplifting Word that will stir and lift our spirits. Please feel free to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join us for this exciting day. Let’s come together as a community to celebrate, connect, and be super blessed! We want to kickstart this new season with an unforgettable spiritual blast. Be there to be blessed, you simply can’t afford to miss it!
I am also excited to share that our *GriefShare Ministry* is back this season! We know that many in our community are navigating seasons of loss, heartache, and questions. Whether it's the pain of losing a loved one, the heartbreak of life's trials, or the uncertainty of a changing road, the Lord desires to heal the brokenhearted. We are here to walk alongside every grieving heart, bearing one another’s burdens, as Galatians 6:2 encourages: *"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."* If you or someone you know could benefit from this ministry, please don't hesitate to reach out.
And there's more! To close this month on a high note, we will be blessed by the presence of The Maranatha Band from La Romana, DR, on September 28, at 6pm. What a joyous celebration it will be! Let us come together to worship with hearts ablaze, ready to declare the greatness of our God. Psalm 150:4 reminds us, "Praise Him with timbrel and dancing, praise Him with the strings and pipe." Let us come expecting to be ushered even deeper into the presence of the Lord through the sweet sound of worship.
Family, here is a fun fact: Sunday, September 14th, is Grandparents’ Day! If you are blessed to be a grandparent, we want to take a moment to celebrate you. Congratulations to all the grandparents at FBC Wallingford! You’ve paved the way for future generations, and we are so grateful for the wisdom, love, and legacy you share. We love and appreciate you!
Church family, I encourage you to remember amidst everything happening around us, we are on the winning side. No matter the challenges we face—whether in our homes, our communities, or the world at large—Jesus has already secured victory. We are "a peculiar people" (1 Peter 2:9), chosen to shine as the light in the darkness. And as we march forward, remember, each of you is *"the apple of God’s eye" (Zechariah 2:8).* Even in the midst of trials, He lovingly watches over you, protects you, and holds you in the palm of His hand.
As we walk this journey together, let us submit our plans to Him and trust in His perfect ways. Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5–6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."
May this season of new beginnings fill you with hope, joy, and an ever-deepening awareness of God's extraordinary love for you. Let us remain humble, yet bold, knowing that we are working for His glory and kingdom.
In Him and For Him,
Senior Pastor, FBC Wallingford

"Our family has truly blossomed, strengthening in the knowledge of His word and becoming more intimately acquainted with each other . . ."
Dear FBC Church Family,

Warm greetings to each of you!
As I write to you this month, my heart is filled with gratitude and joy for the wonderful journey we've shared together on our spiritual walk.
Reflecting on our time as a loving church, I am reminded of the profound essence of being part of a community that is focused on spiritual strengthening, sound doctrinal preaching, and a spirit of evangelism. Our church fosters an environment where we grow closer to God and one another, armed with the teachings and love that His word imparts to us.
Would you believe it? It has been a year since I said "YES" to serving you as your Senior Pastor! I can't begin to express how grateful I am to the Lord for entrusting me with the responsibility of serving His Kingdom in this capacity. We've seen God's hand at work in all that we do here, from the smallest acts to the greatest gestures. His presence has been undeniable and continues to guide our path.
Our family has truly blossomed, strengthening in the knowledge of His word and becoming more intimately acquainted with each other. We've witnessed two powerful baptisms, where about 20 cherished members were water baptized. Families have begun to find their way back home, and our worship atmosphere is simply glorious. Every Monday night, we've gathered on Zoom for prayer and Bible study, nurturing our growth. Our youth group is flourishing, and our Vacation Bible School promises yet another uplifting experience this year. The structure of our leadership team remains strong and committed, and our service trips to the Dominican Republic have reached record participation. If you’re willing, I am still standing on my aim that our community remains 100% employed, so when there is an opening, please feel free to apply to serve.
None of these blessings would have been possible without your valuable input and fervent prayers. We are one unit, a strong body of believers, continuously learning and growing in the Lord!
As I embark on my second year with you, I humbly ask that we remain unified in spirit, sharpening one another as iron sharpens iron. Let's focus on the positives of our past year and seek God’s grace to continue our service effectively for another year and beyond.
Let us remember Paul's encouragement from Philippians 4:13 – "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." May we lift one another up and remain steadfast in His teachings. Together, may we shine His light brightly in our community and beyond.

In Christ’s love,
Senior Pastor FBC Wallingford
July 2025
"This is what makes our church what it is . . . a place where everyone is welcome, feels loved, and truly belongs"
Dear FBC Family,
Greetings to all of you! What a joy it is to be used by our God as a source of encouragement to others, both in good and challenging times. As we are now in July, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many blessings we experienced in June.
The month was filled with another enriching sermon series, guiding all who are seeking a much closer relationship with Christ. From baby dedications to warmly welcoming new members, our doors were open wide for all who are seeking Jesus. This is a beautiful reminder of our collective mission to shine His light.
Once again this year, the Lord has entrusted us with the passion for mission. Over 150 missionaries will be traveling to the Dominican Republic within a three-week period (June 27-July 18, 2025). Our anointed and experienced leaders, John and Aimee Powers, along with dedicated volunteers, will be engaged in food distribution, evangelism, mobile medical clinics, Vacation Bible School at Joe Hartman School, and construction projects. May the Lord be glorified by the works of our hands as we share His love with others.
However, June also brought its challenges as we said goodbye to our beloved brother, Kline Loomis, who passed away on June 24 at 7:30 PM, surrounded by his son Dean and daughter-in-law Becky. Kline was a true gentleman who cherished his church and remained active whenever he was able. When you see the communion cup holders in the pews, may you be reminded of Kline and the love he shared with us all.
Additionally, our head deacon, Cindy Holland-Toftness, has faced the loss of her mother. And at the end of June, long-time FBC member Leona Townsend passed away, and we express our most sincere condolences to her daughter, Debbie, and grandson, Josh. In times like these, I am so thankful for the resurrection power we have as believers. Our heartfelt condolences go out to both families during this time of grief.
We also celebrated Pentecost Sunday and were reminded of the marvelous story of the birth of the universal church. This event energized our spirits and affirmed our mission. We were further blessed by the visit of the Adult Teen Challenge New Haven Chapter, who shared testimonies that touched our hearts in ways that words cannot express.
Father’s Day was a special occasion at FBC as we united to celebrate our beloved dads. Such a spirit of unity is something that needs nurturing daily, and I encourage you to keep that love alive within our community.
Friends, this is what makes our church what it is—a place where everyone is welcome, feels loved, and truly belongs. Let us cherish one another, uplift our spirits, and glorify our Lord. As Colossians 3:14 reminds us, “And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
May this July be filled with joy, love, and opportunities for deeper connection with God and one another.
In Christ’s love,
Senior Pastor FBC Wallingford

"May this month be filled with blessings, love, and opportunities to serve one another . . . "
Dear FBC Family:
Greetings to you all in the joy and peace of our Lord! As we step into the month of June, let us take a moment to reflect on the blessings that God has bestowed upon our church – the “family of families.”
As a church, our unity produces strength, and as a strong family, it becomes more difficult for the enemy to penetrate among us. May our town and beyond find FBC Wallingford to be a place where people of all ages can come to strengthen their faith and share their joy while serving Jesus.

Much to be thankful for . . .

We are particularly thankful and excited for the glorious Youth Service we just had on May 18. It was a gathering filled with energy and inspiration as our youth lead us in worship and shared their testimonies. Let us continue to support these precious young people in prayer as some of them will be away at college and beyond.

In addition, we as a church family also celebrated a special occasion . . . a house warming event for Michaela's new home! This event was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a church family and show our love and support as she embarks on this new chapter in her life. Congratulations!

I also want to express heartfelt appreciation to everyone who participated in Sister Kelly's going-away party at the Rusate residence. Your kindness and support made her farewell truly special.

We also have welcomed many new baptized members into our congregation. It’s always uplifting to witness new blood joining our community as we grow together both in numbers and in faith.

And on another positive note, I am thrilled to share that our overall giving has seen an increase! We are grateful for your generosity and commitment to the Lord's work here at FBC. Thank you for your faithful stewardship.

Where you can help . . .

As with every community, we have needs, and right now we could especially use some volunteers to help in the nursery. Your contribution, through voluntarism, can greatly make a difference in our church’s ministry to the upcoming generation. Please contact Lyvia King, director of discipleship, if you would like more information.
Additionally, we are in need of a couple of new deacons. Please join me in praying for willing hearts to serve in this vital role within our church.

Looking ahead . . .

We are excited to announce that on June 8, we will be welcoming guests from Teen Challenge (New Haven chapter). They will share their inspiring testimonies of transformation, reminding us of the power of God’s love and grace in our lives.

A friendly reminder: June 14 will be our 2nd Saturday of the month prayer time as a church. Please come with a spirit of expectation to be blessed. It’s a perfect chance to pray for one another.
Father’s Day is almost upon us! Sunday, June 15 is a perfect opportunity to encourage the fathers in our congregation and show them some love. We will have a special Father’s Day service (10AM on Sunday, June 15), so bring your dad, your uncle, and all your friends to be blessed by the Lord.
Mark your calendars for June 22, when we will hold a special “Children's Dedication Service.” This will be a joyous event where we celebrate the blessing of our children as they are dedicated to the Lord. This is an important milestone for our “family of families!”
Lastly, I want to remind you that this summer, through the Dominican Republic Mission Team (which was founded right here at FBC Wallingford over 35 years ago!), we will help send 160 missionaries from multiple states to serve the needy and neglected Haitians and Dominicans in the Dominican Republic. We need your help to cover these volunteers in prayer! Please contact Pastor Bill and Debbie Huegel to sign up. Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated as we once again undertake this mission to show the love of Christ.
As we move forward in this month, may we be reminded of the words of Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Let us embody this strength as we serve one another and our community.
May this month be filled with blessings, love, and opportunities to serve one another and share Christ's light in the world!
In Christ's love and service . . .

May 2025
"Let’s support one another through prayer, encourage each other, and elevate Jesus in all that we do."
FBC Wallingford Family:
Greetings to you in the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ!
As we welcome the month of May, I want to take a moment to reflect on the heartwarming experiences we've shared together and the countless blessings that surround us.
I am so proud of our collective efforts to not only meet our goal but to surpass our target in beautifying our Christian Education wing. Your hard work and dedication truly shine, and it is a joy to witness how our church continues to grow and improve. Thank you all for your unwavering commitment!
Our recent Sunrise Service, followed by a delightful breakfast, as well as our outstanding Resurrection Sunday Celebration, were remarkable occasions that brought our community together. We were blessed to welcome nine new members into our joyful family of faith! This celebration of faith, that I enthusiastically call “The Christian Super Bowl Sunday,” was truly a blast! Thank you, faithful ones, for your outstanding dedication to our Lord and for making these events so memorable.
I cannot express how incredibly proud I am of each and every one of you. It is a privilege to serve as your Pastor during this season, and I am grateful for the love and fellowship we share.
As we journey together, I want to take a moment to mention our dear Sister Kelly Massoni. We were privileged to minister to her and get to know her personally. Kelly has recently moved to Savannah, GA. What joy it was to serve the Lord alongside her as we advanced God’s kingdom together! Let us continue to pray for her and seek God’s guidance in her new journey.
May is also the month when we celebrate Mother’s Day. I encourage each of you to take the time to appreciate and uplift the mothers among us. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms in our family of families! Your love, sacrifice, and nurturing spirit are invaluable gifts that enrich our lives.
May 18th will be our Youth Sunday, during which we will also make scholarships available for our graduating seniors. This special service will be an opportunity to encourage our youth and to build them up for the years ahead, in line with 1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV), which says, "Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity."
Let us stand with them now for a better future, remembering the promise in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV): "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
As we move forward together, let us continue to be the close-knit family that we are. Let’s support one another through prayer, encourage each other, and elevate Jesus in all that we do.
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (ESV)
May this month be filled with blessings, love, and opportunities to serve one another and share Christ's light in the world!
In Christ's love and service . . .

April 2025
"As we prepare for the sacred Easter season, I encourage you to enter this time with hearts eager to experience Jesus in a deeper way . . ."
Dear FBC Wallingford Family:
Grace and peace to you all as we enter this beautiful month of April. As your under-shepherd and pastor, I am blessed and grateful to walk alongside you on this incredible journey of faith. Together, we continue to grow as a body of believers, strengthening our unity in Christ.
We have just completed a marvelous series on the book of Revelation. These teachings have served as a profound source of inspiration, helping us to understand this complex scripture with renewed depth and conviction. Revelation 1:3 reminds us, "Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and keep what is written in it, for the time is near." May these truths remain ever-present in our hearts as we look forward with hope and expectation.
March has been a bittersweet month for us. While we have experienced both numerical and spiritual growth, we also mourn the sudden passing of our dear sister Alice Fekete, who has transitioned into eternal life. We find comfort in the promise of eternal life through Christ, as assured in John 11:25-26: "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.'" May the peace of God uphold and surround her loved ones during this time.
Your generous contributions through the Easter offering have been a tremendous blessing, and, with your help, our Christian Education wing will soon begin its renewal process. Upon completion, it will stand refreshed and ready to serve the mission of our church. Thank you in advance for your continued support, and may the Lord bless your efforts.
We are thrilled to announce that our leadership team is now complete, thanks to the volunteers who have stepped up to serve. Their commitment reflects the words of 1 Peter 4:10: "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."
As we prepare for the sacred Easter season, I encourage you to enter this time with hearts eager to experience Jesus in a deeper way. Once again, we will gather for our Sunrise Service on the church front lawn (6:30am), celebrating Mary’s experience at the empty tomb—"He is alive!" (Matthew 28:6).
Additionally, we look forward to the Easter Sunday worship service (10am), anticipating a larger number of baptisms and many visitors joining us as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus. Please be in prayer so that the Holy Spirit may transform lives in a mighty way. Romans 8:11 reminds us, "If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you."
On Saturday, April 5th, we invite you to participate in our Church Work Day—a day of fellowship and community as we clean up around the church. Lunch will be provided, and we look forward to spending this meaningful time together. Remember, in serving one another we fulfill the call of unity in Christ and reflect His love.
The essence of our unity in Christ is vivid; therefore, our strength is clear. Let us stand firm together, as depicted in Philippians 2:2, "Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind."
May this month be a time of growth, renewal, and abundant blessings for each of us.
In Christ's love and service . . .
Your Senior Pastor,

March 2025
Dear FBC Wallingford Family:
As we welcome the month of March, we find ourselves filled with the hope and anticipation of the Easter season. During this sacred time, we are reminded of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the new life He offers to all who believe in Him.

Women's Bible Study
We are thrilled to announce that the Tuesday morning, 10am, women's Bible Study group is now meeting in person AND on Zoom! Sister Cathy Copas is leading the in person part of the study, and if you prefer to participate on Zoom, you can contact our sister Alice Fekete. By offering to meet in person and on Zoom, the women’s Bible Study is providing a flexible option for all who wish to join. It is a wonderful chance to deepen your faith, connect with other women in our church, and grow together in understanding God's Word.
Engaging Our Choate Newcomers
We have been blessed to welcome newcomers from Choate at FBC Wallingford, and we are committed to engaging them in the life of our church. We have developed various activities and fellowship opportunities to help integrate and involve them in our community. Let's continue to extend our warmth and hospitality, ensuring they feel a genuine sense of belonging here at FBC Wallingford.
New Floor in the CE/Office Wing
We are thrilled to announce the exciting new floor plan for the hallway in our office and classroom area! I believe that this new flooring will be clean and beautiful, the Lord will bless us as it reflects how much we care about the appearance of His church. It has been voted on and approved that this year's Easter offering will be dedicated to this project. We kindly ask for your support by giving generously, helping us to enhance and beautify our church environment. Thank you for your continued dedication and generosity.
As always, let us seek to inspire one another, uplift each other in prayer, and serve with love. I encourage each of you to take part in many of the opportunities here at FBC Wallingford for spiritual growth and community building. May this season of Lent be one of reflection and renewal as we prepare our hearts for the glorious celebration of Easter.

"This expansion of our church is a testament to the love and warmth that FBC Wallingford embodies."
Dear Beloved FBC Family:
Greetings in the Mighty Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
I hope this letter finds you in great spirits and surrounded by love and joy. As we gather in faith and fellowship, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of hope and excitement for the journey ahead of us.
We are blessed to welcome new faces into our leadership team! Their unique gifts and perspectives will undoubtedly enrich our community and guide us as we continue to grow both in faith and numerically. Let us extend our warmest greetings and support to these wonderful individuals as they step into their new roles.
Together, we will embark on a path that strengthens our mission and deepens our bonds within the congregation. Moreover, I am thrilled to celebrate the recent seven baptisms of our four new members! Each one of them has taken a courageous step in their faith journey, and we are honored to walk alongside them as they grow in their relationship with Christ. Let us embrace them with open arms, offering our love, encouragement, and support as they continue to blossom in their spiritual lives. And as we rejoice in this milestone, we look forward to welcoming even more new members into our congregation in the days to come.
This expansion of our church is a testament to the love and warmth that FBC Wallingford embodies. Each new member brings their own unique story and gifts, and together we will continue to build a vibrant, inclusive, and loving congregation.
We have a few new developments taking place on our premises. First, my office has been moved to the last door on the right in the CE wing, where Lyvia King’s office used to be. Our administrative assistant's office is now in my old office, and the discipleship director’s office is now where Gina's office used to be. I would like to personally acknowledge the efforts of all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this transition smooth.
Additionally, beginning Sunday, February 2, there will be a table designated in the fellowship hall for first and second-time visitors only. This will allow Abbi and me to personally greet them, get to know them, and answer any questions they may have about our church. So, if you notice any visitors, please guide them to that table.
As we move forward, let us remember the power of unity and the strength that comes from our shared faith. Together, we can accomplish great things, uplift one another, and make a meaningful impact in our community. Let us be a source of light and hope for those around us, inviting them to see the love of Christ through our actions and words
Thank you for being an integral part of this beautiful journey. Your dedication, love, and support are what make FBC a truly special place.
We started 2025 with His mission in mind! Once again, our church helped lead a group of over 60 people to our favorite destination, La Romana, Dominican Republic, through the DR Mission Team (which started right here at FBC 35 years ago!). While there, we delivered much-needed medical care and nourishment to hundreds of families. Our team spent meaningful time with our friends at Batey 50, helping with construction projects. We also had the privilege of sharing the gospel at Beraka Church in Kilometer 6 and supporting the Joe Hartman School, and also impacting hundreds of lives from different bateyes. I am thrilled to report that 75 new souls have been added to the Kingdom.
As we step into February, we are starting with a bang! Beginning Sunday, February 2nd, we will launch a new sermon series on the Book of Revelation. It will be 7 weeks focusing on that teaching only. I encourage you to take advantage of these profound insights and invite your friends, family, and coworkers to be blessed alongside us.
I believe the Lord is pleased with our efforts in making FBC Wallingford a great place to worship and share in His grace.
The essence of His presence is vivid among us, so let us glorify His Name together for years to come,
Let us remain united as one family in prayer, worship, Bible study, mission work, and community involvement.
With much love and appreciation,

January 2025
"It is truly my utmost honor to serve you as your Senior Pastor, and I eagerly anticipate the path ahead for us as a church"
Dear FBC Church Family:
As we close the chapter on another year, I am filled with gratitude and hope. Reflecting on the challenges we have faced, we have emerged stronger, united, and more committed to serving our community and one another. It is through these trials that we have learned, grown, and fortified our faith, becoming a robust church ready to extend our impact.
As we embark on 2025, it is imperative that we stand united in Jesus and His word. Together, we can continue to excel victoriously. The new year brings both challenges and opportunities, paving the way for us as a growing congregation to enlarge our territory and further advance the Kingdom of God here in central Connecticut.
In times of challenge and change, we find strength in the words of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Let us hold onto this promise, knowing that with Christ as our guide, we are equipped to overcome any obstacles and embrace new opportunities.
As a church family, we are called to stand together in unity and love. Ephesians 4:2-3 reminds us, "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."
I am hopeful and confident, knowing that with impactful teaching, love for one another, and Jesus on our side, the sky is our limit. It is truly my utmost honor to serve you as your Senior Pastor, and I eagerly anticipate the path ahead for us as a church. Let us walk into 2025 with our heads held high, because the tasks ahead are never as great as the power behind us. Keep in mind, the bright future belongs to those who believe in the power of God’s abilities to meet their inabilities.
With much grace and love, 2025 will be a marvelous year for our beloved church family. Happy New Year to you all.

December 2024
"The essence of God's presence among us is truly vivid. We are experiencing not only growth in numbers, but also in spiritual depth . . . ."
Greetings to you, Beloved Congregation!
As we step into the blessed month of December, I extend heartfelt greetings to each of you. May this advent season fill your hearts with hope, love, and joy as we prepare for the celebration of the birth of our King of Kings and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The essence of God's presence among us is truly vivid. We are experiencing growth not only in numbers, but also in spiritual depth. As a Church family, we have so much to be thankful for. With your participation, we enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner last week, where 72 of our beloved members gathered in fellowship and gratitude.
It brings me immense joy to see our young people voluntarily taking part increasingly in our collective worship services. Ten young individuals, along with two adults, are currently taking baptism classes and will be declaring their faith through water baptism on January 26. This will be a time of celebration of their faith and an outstanding positive sign for the future of our church.
Just last week, under the leadership of our discipleship director, Lyvia King, our middle school youth group worked in partnership with two other churches on Main Street in Wallingford for a time of fellowship like no other, including meet and greet, games, music, and food. These events truly highlight our commitment to supporting our youngsters in their quest to follow Jesus.
We are a family that values everyone, especially those seeking to deepen their relationship with Jesus. As 2024 comes to an end, let us strive to finish this year stronger than we started. Though challenges lie ahead, we must overcome them by staying close to Jesus and embracing His will for us. Remember, the will of God will never lead us where His grace cannot keep us.
Allow me to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your service to FBC Wallingford and your dedication to seeing this body of believers thrive for the glory of God. We are on the right path; let us continue to promote the love of Jesus and His perfect plans for humanity.
In His grace and love always,

November 2024
"Let us make every effort to keep our spirits recharged in the Word, while encouraging others . . . ."
Dearest friends:
As we gather week after week in spirit and faith, I want to take a moment to share my deepest gratitude for each of you. Your unwavering commitment to our church and the love you extend to one another is a testament to the strength of our shared beliefs. In times of challenge, let us remember the power of hope and the light that shines within us when we come together in unity. Each act of kindness, every prayer offered, and every moment of worship strengthens the bonds that tie us as a family in Christ, as we seek Jesus together. Let us continue to uplift one another, embracing both our joys and sorrows, knowing that together, we can overcome any obstacle. May we strive to be beacons of love and grace in our world, inspiring others to join us on this beautiful journey of faith.
To that point, as we enter November, I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the deacons and each one of you for your generous gesture of love and appreciation during Pastor’s Appreciation Day. Abbi and I truly felt your love and support, and it means so much to us.
November will be a very busy month for us at FBC Wallingford – it will be a time of renewal, celebration, and thanksgiving. Let us make every effort to keep our spirits recharged in the Word, while encouraging one another.
November 3: Baptism and Membership Meeting
On Sunday, November 3rd, I will be meeting with those who are interested in becoming members of our church, as well as those who wish to profess their faith through water baptism. This is an exciting time for our community, and I look forward to welcoming new members into our family. Please reach out to me (PastorLubin@fbcwlfd.org or 203-269-4796) to express your interest and with any questions).
November 4: Pre-Election Prayer Gathering
As our nation approaches a pivotal moment in the upcoming elections, I invite each of you to join us for a special prayer gathering on Monday, November 4, 7 PM, at the church. Let us come together as a community to lift our voices in prayer for the election process, for the safety and well-being of all poll workers, and for wisdom and discernment for every voter. Your presence matters, and collectively, we can make a profound impact through our prayers. Together, let us seek guidance and strength from above as we navigate this crucial time. I look forward to seeing you there!
Saturday, November 9: Special Prayer Meeting
Speaking about coming together, we are excited to announce our new monthly prayer meeting on the 2nd Saturday of each month, and we warmly invite you to join us! This gathering is a wonderful opportunity for those suffering from diseases, dealing with loneliness, or simply seeking connection and support. Together, we will come before God in prayer, lifting our burdens and celebrating the blessings in our lives. It is a space where hearts can be healed, friendships can be formed, and faith can be strengthened. Please feel free to bring along anyone who might benefit from this uplifting experience. We look forward to seeing you there and growing together in faith and fellowship!
November 10: Special Worship at FBC
On November 10th, we will have a special visit from friends at New Covenant Holiness Church in Wilmington, NC. Bishop Linwood Nesbitt will be joining us to share words of blessings over our church. It is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow believers and receive encouragement.
November 17: Stewardship Focus
On the 17th, my sermon will focus on stewardship. This is a vital opportunity for us to reflect on our financial plans and how we can support our church, as well as our mission together.
Master's Manna Collections
As a body of believers seeking Christ, we must also remember those less fortunate among us. We are currently collecting food to assist Masters Manna in providing essential nourishment for the holidays. Your contributions can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.
Winter DR Mission Team Trip
Additionally, our Dominican Republic Mission Team is forming beautifully for the Winter and Summer 2025 trips, preparing to serve the needy in the La Romana, DR. Applications, meeting schedules, and payment options are available on the DR Mission Team website.
Friends, we are blessed beyond measure knowing that the author of the universe has called us to be His extended hands and feet for such a time as this. If you know someone in need of encouragement or a kind word, please invite them to join our family at FBC as we seek Jesus together for strength.
It has been an incredible honor and privilege to serve as your Senior Pastor. Thank you for your continued love and support.
Blessings always,

October 2024
"Fall is a Season That Embodies An Awesome Opportunity for Renewal . . . ."
Dear FBC Wallingford Family:

It is such a joy to serve you! As we step into the beautiful month of October, I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to fall—a season that embodies an awesome opportunity for renewal. Just as the leaves change, we too can experience transformation in our lives through Christ.
I am thrilled to announce that a new sermon series is on the way. The Lord has nudged me to preach sermon series on the subject “Refueling Together in Jesus!” My prayer is that you will take full advantage of this series to be refueled in Jesus just before the busy holiday seasons begin. As we gather to explore this theme, I am reminded of Isaiah 40:31, which says, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Let us come together and refuel our spirits in Him!
This weekend, October 5 and 6, is the "Celebrate Wallingford" event in our town. Our church will be represented on our front lawn by many volunteers welcoming our community with activities, games, and popcorn. And don't forget our Dominican Republic Mission Team ministry will have its own table on the street in front of FBC. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community and share the love of Christ. I encourage you to come out and support this initiative as we fulfill our mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
As a church family, we will also have our own time to celebrate what God is doing in our church. Please save the date—November 10! We will welcome a powerful guest speaker from Wilmington, NC, the one and only Bishop Linwood Nesbitt of the New Covenant Holiness Church, along with his wife, Pastor Aria Nesbitt. It will truly be a time of great joy in the Lord, and I hope you will join us for this special occasion.
We are so glad you are a part of our church family; your presence in our midst makes an outstanding difference. Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Let us continue to look upon Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. May you have a very blessed October—the sky is the limit in Jesus!

September 2024
"I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt joy in serving as your Pastor. . . ."
Dear Beloved Family in Christ,

As we welcome the month of September, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt joy in serving as your Pastor. One of my greatest joys is feeding you the Word of God and witnessing each one of you grow in grace. As we are reminded in 2 Peter 3:18, “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” It is a blessing to see how God is working in your lives and hearts.

With the new school year now underway, just two weeks ago we prayed for our students as we sent them off to their new adventures. We trust that God will watch over them as they expand their wings to learn and grow. In the spirit of Philippians 2:4, “Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others,” let us embrace our students with the same love and support that we wish for them. They need our encouragement as they navigate this exciting season of life.

As September 15 approaches, I want to remind you of our "Homecoming Sunday," a special occasion for us at FBC Wallingford. Our Sunday school classes will be back at full force, and it is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and growth. If you were ever a part of the FBC family, please know that we miss you, and it’s time to come back home! Let us remember the words of Psalm 122:1: “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!’” The family is better with you in attendance, and we would love to see you back among us. And this is also the perfect Sunday to invite your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to worship with us at FBC Wallingford!

As your Pastor, I encourage you to care for one another. In 1 Thessalonians 5:11, we read, “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” Speak in love, encourage one another, and show your love through bold actions. You may ask, “Why?” Because actions speak louder than words, and our faith must be evidenced by our deeds.
May the atmosphere of worship at our beloved FBC Wallingford be both lively and loving, maximizing our love for our King of Kings and Lord of Lords. As Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Let us create a community where all feel welcome and cherished.
I also invite you to encourage those around you throughout the week to join us in worship. Let’s invite friends, family, and neighbors to experience the same warmth of Jesus’s love that we encounter each week. Together, we can build a community that radiates Christ’s love and transforms lives.

With much grace and love,

August 2024
"FBC Wallingford is not just a church; it is a loving, family-oriented community . . ."
August 2024
Dearest Friends:
It is with profound gratitude and a sense of divine calling that I write to you as FBC Wallingford’s new Senior Pastor. The journey to this moment has been a testament to the faithfulness of God and the diligent work of the Pastoral Search Committee. After prayerful consideration and the affirmation of the congregation through their votes, it is clear that God has spoken, confirming this new chapter with a beautiful rainbow in the sky—a symbol of His promises and presence among us. Yet, as we celebrate this moment, I recognize that the real work begins now.
FBC Wallingford has a rich history, having served our community since the 1800s. Throughout the years, this church has stood as a beacon of light, engaging in evangelism and mission work that reflects the love of Christ. The commitment to service and outreach has not only shaped the identity of our church but has also profoundly impacted the lives of countless individuals in our community. As we look back on our history, we can see how God has consistently led us through multiple challenges, with each generation facing its own trials and triumphs. Today, by God’s grace, we find ourselves on a path toward renewed vitality and outstanding success. The spirit of unity is rising among us, and I am excited to see what God will accomplish through us as we embrace this new season together.
FBC Wallingford is not just a church; it is a loving, family-oriented community where every person is cherished and valued. One of our new mottos is “zero unemployment.” This reflects our commitment to ensuring that everyone has a place and a purpose in the life of our church. If you do not yet have a church home, I want to extend a heartfelt invitation: we have a seat with your name on it. If you have stepped away from FBC Wallingford or any other church for any reason, I encourage you to consider coming back home. Your presence is missed, and the community is much stronger with you involved. Together, let us seek the Master’s face each Sunday for powerful worship, engage in a weekly Bible study or prayer meeting, and embrace mission opportunities that allow us to serve others. Our Vacation Bible School (VBS) for your children will provide them with a nurturing environment where they can grow in faith and friendship.
As your Senior Pastor, I am here to walk alongside each of you on this journey. I am more than willing to meet with you personally to discuss any concerns, share in your joys, or pray for your needs. My desire is to cultivate a vibrant spirit at FBC Wallingford, one that inspires us to proclaim Jesus with humility, wisdom, and a loud voice. Together, we can create an environment where everyone feels welcomed and empowered to participate in the work God is doing in our midst.
In closing, let us embrace this incredible opportunity to serve together as a family of believers. I am honored to be your pastor, and I look forward to seeing how God will work through each one of us as we seek to glorify Him in all that we do. May our hearts be united as we embark on this journey, proclaiming the name of Jesus and reflecting His love to the world around us.
In Him and for Him,
Pastor Lubin Beaucejour
