Warm Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Beloved Brothers and Sisters:
I write to you with a heart full of gratitude and excitement as we embrace the beautiful month of October. I pray this letter finds you well and thriving in the grace and love of our Lord.
As we move forward together, I am thrilled to announce a new addition to our worship schedule. Beginning this Sunday, we will resume our weekly children’s story during worship services. This special segment is dedicated to planting seeds of faith in our little ones’ hearts. Once the children’s sermon concludes, the young ones will head downstairs for additional programs, as space and availability allow. It is our joy to build them up in the Word of God and prepare them for the faithful journey ahead.
What a remarkable display of God’s goodness in fellowship we witnessed on the last weekend of September!
On this Sunday Morning, we had the great privilege of hosting Bishop Linwood Nesbitt and his team. Their powerful presence and partnership with us exemplify the unity we share as laborers in God’s vineyard. Working together, we are reminded that the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). Thank you to everyone who contributed to making their visit so memorable! Your hospitality and unwavering support glorified the Lord and reminded us of the strength in our bonds of Christian fellowship.
On Sunday Evening, we were blessed as the Maranatha Band concluded their country-wide tour with their final concert in our sanctuary. What an evening of praise, worship, and community! The event brought together old and new friends, both from the Dominican Republic and many surrounding churches who have joined us in previous Dominican Republic mission trips. It was a celebration of music, connection, and our shared commitment to help those in need near and far.
To everyone who attended and supported both their efforts and our mission outreach, I thank you from the depths of my heart. We continue to see God working through our partnership with beautiful yet needy communities, and I am confident that this ministry will blossom further to His glory.
As we step into this season of harvest and thanksgiving, let us remain united in purpose and steadfast in prayer. It is truly an honor to labor alongside you in God’s vineyard. Together, we will continue to bring hope, light, and love into the world through our service in the Kingdom.
There are some really exciting opportunities coming up . . . please visit our website here at fbcwlfd.org and make sure you are receiving our weekly FBC Wallingford e-newsletter and text updates (call the office if you are not at 203-269-4796). Here are a few highlights:

• Let us continue to pray in person every 2nd Saturday, from 9am-11am, here at the church - the next time to gather is Saturday, October 11, 9am. Please don’t wait for a moment of crisis to come in the presence of the Lord in unity - come out to receive everything God has for you. We truly believe God moves when His people pray together.

- “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God” (James 1:5).
Come ready to learn, ask questions, and grow in wise, God-honoring stewardship.
• Breakfast and Church Work Day! On Saturday, November 1, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., our men will be sponsoring a community pancake breakfast. Immediately after, we’ll roll up our sleeves together for an all-church workday. Let’s serve side by side and care for the Lord’s house.
- “So we built the wall… for the people had a mind to work” (Nehemiah 4:6).
- “Let us not grow weary of doing good” (Galatians 6:9).
Bring a willing heart, a servant’s spirit, and any tools you might find helpful. If you have any questions see our director of maintenance, Gary Copas.
Church, I thank God for you! “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you” (Philippians 1:3). May the Lord continue to knit our hearts together in love, strengthen our hands for every good work, and make us abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. “The Lord bless you and keep you… and give you peace” (Numbers 6:24–26).
In Him and For Him,
