Beloved FBC Family:
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Welcome to the month of March! As we step into this new season, we are reminded that “This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24). Each new month is a fresh expression of God’s mercy and faithfulness toward us.
A Consecrated Heart as We Near the End of Lent
We are approaching the end of the Lenten season. My prayer is that this sacred time has drawn you into a deeper spirit of consecration. Lent is not merely a tradition; it is an invitation to return to the Lord with sincerity.
The prophet Joel calls out:
“Return to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning” (Joel 2:12).
And Paul reminds us:
“Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Romans 12:1).
I pray that you are experiencing renewal, repentance, and refreshing in the presence of the Lord. May these remaining weeks before Resurrection Sunday find us tender, surrendered, and expectant.
March Sermon Series: Spiritual Empowerment
This month will be a spiritually rich and active time for our church family. Beginning March 1st, continuing through the 15th, and concluding on the 29th, I will be preaching a series on Spiritual Empowerment.
These messages will focus on the sensitivity of the Holy Spirit — the true source of our empowerment.
Jesus declared:
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me…” (Acts 1:8).
And Zechariah reminds us:
“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts (Zechariah 4:6).
Spiritual empowerment does not originate in human effort, charisma, or strategy. It flows from intimacy with the Spirit of God. My desire is that we, as a congregation, grow more sensitive to His leading, more obedient to His voice, and more fruitful in His work.
Please encourage your friends and family to attend. Invite someone to come and be blessed. God may use this series to ignite something transformative in their lives.
March 22 – Messiah in the Passover
On March 22nd, we will have the honor of welcoming Dr. Mitch Glaser to FBC as he presents “Messiah in the Passover.”
This powerful presentation reveals how the ancient Passover celebration points directly to Jesus as the promised Messiah.
As Scripture says:
“For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us” (1 Corinthians 5:7).
During our morning service, Dr. Glaser will also briefly share about the exciting work being done to reach Jewish people with the good news of Messiah Jesus. This is a wonderful opportunity to deepen our understanding of the rich heritage of God’s covenant people and to see the beautiful continuity of His redemptive plan.
This is a perfect event to invite friends, neighbors, and family members. Please don’t miss it.
A Word About Our Present Challenges
The issues facing our church today are small in light of the greatness of our God. Let us not magnify problems; let us magnify the Lord.
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20)
We look to the Master — the One who called us, who sustains us, and who is faithful.
“He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
This is not a time for fear or discouragement. It is a time for prayer, unity, and spiritual maturity. God has placed us here for such a time as this (Esther 4:14).
I humbly ask for your prayers as we seek His wisdom and direction together.
My Pastoral Commitment to You
As your pastor, my aim is simple and unwavering: to teach you the way of the Lord — Biblically, faithfully, and without reservation — so that you may grow in Him.
Paul told Timothy:
“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season…” (2 Timothy 4:2).
And Peter reminds shepherds to:
“Shepherd the flock of God which is among you…” (1 Peter 5:2).
It is my joy and solemn responsibility to open the Scriptures and help equip you for maturity, discernment, and spiritual strength.
Church family, March is full — but more importantly, it is full of opportunity. Opportunity for consecration. Opportunity for empowerment. Opportunity for deeper understanding. Opportunity for unity.
Let us move forward together — prayerful, expectant, and sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
With love in Christ,
Lubin Beaucejour
Your Senior Pastor
